Hearing the call for next level security, AMSEC developed the all new 2020 BFX Series. They took their BF and upgraded each element of security to provide top notch protection and added a design flair to the exterior with decorative handles and hinge finials.

The BFX7240 is the 2nd largest in the BFX lineup with nearly 30 cubic feet of storage and room for 38 long guns.

This is a truly unique safe with 1/2″ steel plate door combined with 1″ DryLight insulation, 2″ total wall thickness on all sides also filled with DryLight insulation and the body has two layers of steel (11 gauge outer steel liner and 11 gauge inner steel liner), for exceptional fire and security protection. There’s total thickness of 7 gauge steel in these walls!

Now let’s talk about the latest improvements that truly put this safe at the top of the list in terms of security. New for 2020, AMSEC now has advanced independent locking bolt works that are sledgehammer and punch-proof with all individual locking bolts operating separate from each other on a 4-way gear driven boltwork locking system. You get fourteen corrosive resistant 1.5″ solid steel locking bolts that lock into a double reinforced steel frame making this the industry’s best pry-resistant boltwork.

You may be asking yourself, what is DryLight? DryLight is an advanced poured concrete insulation material that eliminates the use of gypsum board and creates a dry and seamless barrier providing ETL verified fire protection of 120 minutes at 1200°. It’s proven to maintain interior temperatures of less than 350° and has 2 stage dual fire seals with a silicone seal on the door jamb and an expandable Palusol and Silicone seal on the door that’ll keep the smoke out. Those that live on the west coast in fire prone areas, you need these additional protection!

Now let’s go over functionality and aesthetic. The look of this safe is customizable. You select from a variety of high gloss, textured or two-toned paint jobs; the tone of hardware, brass, chrome, or black nickel; and the layout of gun racks and shelves for the interior. Best part is that with the “All-in-One” interior, you can adjust the number of shelves and gun slots as your needs shift over the years. Don’t have any guns? No problem, just use the coverplates provided and insert the 4 adjustable shelves. The 2020 update also includes a 5-spoke handle and spruced up hinges featuring decorative finials.

In regard to the lock, you have a selection of U.L. Rated Locks to choose from. Select yours depending on which functionality you like best.

To get in your safe, enter the correct combination (set by you) and the ultra smooth gear driven locking mechanism opens the heavy duty door on the commercial grade, adjustable ball bearing hinges that can swing open a full 180°. As an additional feature, the handle will disengage under severe attack.

The inside of your BFX is both beautiful and functional – especially once your treasures are loaded in. There’s a beautiful mirrored back wall that provides increased visibility. The included premium door organizer (PDO) maximizes storage space and offers quick access to commonly used items like passports, handguns and other important documents/valuables. There’s also a standard built in internal AC power port with a removable external power cord that will allow you to charge your electronics or use a dehumidifying rod. The E-Z Slant-Out interior provides easy access to your long guns and the entire interior is upholstered in rich pin-dot fabric.

For the final layer of security, there 4 pre-cut anchor holes making it easy to bolt your safe down – which we highly recommend.
