Alpha Guardian based in Henderson, NV was formed in late 2017 with the coming together of three brands Cannon, GunVault and Stack-On. Cannon continues their mission of a Safe in Every Home by expanding to include the Stack-On product line.

AMSEC began back in the early 1940’s with little more than a welder, a lathe and a desire to build strong safes. In the subsequent years they have grown into a large manufacturing plant located in Fontana, CA and offer an extensive product line of over 400 standard models of burglary and fire resistant safes in every insurance classification from “B” rate to Underwriter’s Laboratories TL-15, TL-30 and TL-30X6. In addition, they specialize in developing custom safes to meet specific needs for banks, restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and many other industries.

We like AMSEC for it’s wide selection of quality safes and excellent customer service. We particularly like AMSEC’s BF home and gun safes with more steel than most other safes and refined aesthetics, all at a reasonable price. While some of the safe manufacturers are in the race to the bottom, with focus on cost over quality, AMSEC has done an excellent job of continuing to develop new high quality security products and features. An example of this is their new BFII gun safes built in response to UL’s new RSCII security label. These safes have an additional layer of 4-gauge steel in the body and incorporate commercial grade TL-15 bolt work.

Cannon Safe has been in business since 1965 today manufacturing large scale personal safes, home security products and smaller-scale firearm safes. Currently located in Henderson, NV, they recently joined with financial partner MidOcean Partners to acquire Stack-On Products in an effort to continue their mission of a Safe in Every Home.

We like Cannon’s affordable safes and the added features they include without a lot of additional cost. We also appreciate their warranty which includes lifetime on parts such that if your lock goes bad they will ship out a new one at no cost.

Hollon Safe, located in Corpus Christi, TX, was founded in 2008 by then locksmith Zack Gilmore who wanted to provide quality safes for less. In addition to their commitment to Strength in Design and Strength in Quality, Hollon is committed to community and strives to give back 10% of profits to charitable and civic causes around the county.

We like Hollon’s value offerings. In particular we like their well-priced 2 hour fire rated home safe and small TL-15 safes. We have also been quite impressed with their follow through on customer service. As a smaller company they do have a nice personal touch.

Phoenix has protected valuables since the 18th century. They were originally known as Richmond Manufacturing based in Liverpool, England, they launched Phoenix Safe International as the company’s American arm more than 200 years later. Now located in Lebanon, IN they offer a wide range of files and safes supported by an inventory of nearly 2,000 quick-ship items.

We like Phoenix’s well priced fire files and data safes and their quick direct to customer shipping. We also like their very affordable inside delivery option, which is a great convenience for our customers.

Stack-On has over 40 years of proven success in manufacturing and distributing a diverse line of home, garage and security storage products. They have recently been acquired by Alpha Guardian but for the time being have maintained their brand name.

We like Stack-On’s Sovereign Gun Safes and their small quick access safes for their price performance value. The Sovereign Gun Safes provide 75-min fire protection and are waterproof in 2 feet of water for 72-hrs, all at a very affordable price.

In 1991 the Winchester brand was taken into the new frontier of safes and Winchester Safes was born. Winchester Safes is located in Fort Worth, TX and manufactures a full line of gun safes for both rifles and hand guns as well as two sizes of excellent multi-purpose home and office safes.

We especially like the Winchesters home safes the WH7 and WH12 for their quality, aesthetics and price point. We also have found their RFID handgun safes to be excellent quality and innovative product design.
