Description
The VE20 is Vaultek’s larger entry level safe. Vaultek has come on the scene with a solid selection of high quality, cutting edge safes. The VE20 falls in the category of handgun safes but is probably better termed a compact safe. This safe can be used to secure any number of small valuables, wallets, phones, keys, etc. It is portable, take it with you where ever you go and secure it to a fixed object with the high strength security cable.
Vaultek is new on the safe scene with quality handgun safes and cutting-edge technology. The Essential Series VE20 Compact Safe is their larger entry level product. You feel the quality right out of the box, solid but not too heavy. We like its excellent portability. This is a great safe for the car or to take with you in a suitcase or backpack. Use the high strength steel security cable to secure the safe to any fixed object, such as the seat of your car.
From a security standpoint the steel is thin, 18-gauge, but when combined with the two point anti-impact latches, interior mounted hinges and anti-pry construction the safe is pretty tough. The VE20 meets the California DOJ Firearms Security Device standards so you are good to use it in California and any other state for that matter.
Like many quick access pistol safes the VE20 has two methods of entry a code and back up key. The code is entered with a gaming inspired action of a back lit keypad that offers positive feedback for fast entry. There are over 40,00 unique combinations, you set your own 4-8 digits and can change it at will. As a backup a set of two keys are included.
The VE20’s rechargeable battery is super convenient. The lithium-ion battery takes a full charge in 2-1/2 hours and lasts 4 – 6 months. The lithium-ion battery and USB charging kit are both included.
When not in transit the safe can be secured either using one of two included options, the high strength steel security cable or the mounting hardware.
