Description
Don’t allow your hard earned profits to slip through your fingers as a result of theft or burglary. Hollon’s FD-3020EILK Depository Safe an excellent choice to secure cash in a heavy duty commercial environment. This B-rate safe is constructed with solid steel plates and continuous welds.
Best cash handling practices suggest cash deposits should be separated from the clerks who drop them. Deposits should be accessible only to managers, owner or armored car personnel. The FD-3020EILK has a deposit locker with key access that provides this separate security for deposits while allowing access to the larger compartment of the safe for more generally accessed cash tils and other valuables.
From a functional standpoint we like the extra-wide hopper of the FD-3020EILK. Most depository safes of this size have a 12” wide hopper, this one is 16” wide allowing larger packages. When shopping for a safe to secure your cash, look for a solution that will provide you the greatest flexibility as your business grows and changes. This safe will do just that.
From a security perspective we like this safe because of the extra thick sidewalls on the drop drawer. The FD-3020EILK has ¼” thick sidewalls where most depository safes have sidewalls half that thickness at 1/8”. In addition, this safe has aggressive anti-fish baffles. When combined, these two features effectively block burglars from using the drop to gain access to deposits.
Access to the main compartment of the FD-3020EILK is secured with a UL Type 1 high security electronic lock protected by drill resistant hardplate and a spring-loaded relocking device. This lock provides easy access with a 6-digit code you select and can change on your own at any time. The lock is powered by a 9-volt battery. The battery is housed in the keypad outside the safe for easy access when it’s time to be replaced. Be sure to use Energizer or Duracell batteries dated at least 4 years in the future.
Other security features include a ½” solid steel door, five 1-1/4” active locking bolts and a heavy duty dead bar which prevents the door from being removed during a forced entry attempt. The FD-3020EILK comes pre-drilled with four anchor holes in the floor that should be put to use. At 180 lbs. the safe is light enough to be carried away. Bolt the safe right through any flooring into the cement slab below.
